Virgin Mobile Refer a Friend Program Terms and Conditions

  1. General

    These terms and conditions apply to Virgin Mobile's Refer a Friend program (“Program”). By referring a friend, purchasing wireless service, or otherwise participating in the Program, the referring customer and referred friend agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, Virgin Mobile's General Terms and Conditions (“Ts&Cs”), and the Virgin Mobile Privacy Policy. The General Ts&Cs and Privacy Policy are available at As detailed in the Ts&Cs, we each agree to a mandatory arbitration provision that provides that (except for matters properly brought to small claims court) any claim, controversy, or dispute of any kind between you and Virgin Mobile must be resolved by final and binding arbitration on an individual and not a class-wide or consolidated basis.

  2. Program Participation and Eligibility

    The Program is available only for new-line activations on new Virgin Mobile accounts for selected eligible monthly plans. Please allow up to four (4) weeks after referral validation for referral reward to be applied. Virgin Mobile reserves the right to modify, extend or cancel this Program at any time. The Program is only available online at: Internet access is required for participation in the Program. Current Virgin Mobile customers who initiate a referral on are defined as “Referrers.” Non-customers who activate Virgin Mobile service on an eligible monthly plan upon a referral are defined as “Referees.”

    Eligible Referrals: The Program is only available for active Virgin Mobile accounts in good standing. To make referrals, you must:

    1. Provide us with a valid email address;
    2. Have an active Virgin Mobile account in good standing and be enrolled in an eligible monthly plan; and
    3. Be an individual person and of the age of majority in the state/province or jurisdiction where you are resident at the time of participation (Companies and employees of Virgin Mobile or their subsidiaries, affiliates or promotional agencies, including immediate family and household members, are not eligible to earn credit for referrals);

    Participation in the Program is prohibited where void by applicable law or regulation. The Program is only available through If your account is “interrupted”, “suspended” or you cancel your account with Virgin Mobile, you are no longer eligible to participate in the Program. Upon cancellation with Virgin Mobile, your Program account will be inactive and you may not make referrals or earn Program credits, including any referral credits that may be pending. You cannot redeem a referral credit for referring yourself. You may only participate in the program online at, not at any retail outlet. You may only participate in the Program with one account. Friends you invite (“Referees”) have to activate a new Virgin Mobile account and enroll in an eligible monthly plan within 90 days of receiving the referral. To participate and earn a credit, Referees must register on the website within 30 days of their Virgin Mobile service activation date.

    Ineligible Referrals: We regret that Inner Circle customers and other customers using a phone with an iOS operating system are not eligible to make referrals. Unless otherwise noted, the Program may not be available for certain other Virgin Mobile plans or accounts, including: daily or pay-as-you-go plans, Broadband2Go accounts, Virgin Mobile “Friends and Family”, special dealer plans/accounts, accounts owned by Virgin Mobile or Sprint employees, select Virgin Mobile Family account plans and other plans deemed ineligible (collectively, “Ineligible Referrals”). In addition, Referrals made through non-authorized Virgin Mobile sales channels are not eligible for the program. Virgin Mobile reserves the right to void any Referral credit based on the following: (1) ineligibility of any Program participant, (2) fraudulent activation or, (3) if Virgin Mobile, in its sole discretion, finds that you have violated any of the Program Terms and Conditions.

    Eligible Referees: A Referee must activate a new Virgin Mobile account on an eligible monthly plan within 90 days of receiving the referral. The Referee's new line must remain active for at least 30 days before Virgin Mobile will validate the new account and apply the referral reward to both the Referee and the Referrer. You cannot receive credits for referring yourself or by renewing your monthly plan with Virgin Mobile. Existing Virgin Mobile customers can earn a maximum of $500 in referral rewards per calendar year. If you are a new Virgin Mobile customer who was referred by an existing Virgin Mobile customer, you are eligible to earn up to $500 in referral rewards per year, including your initial referral reward. You must disclose the fact that you are a Virgin Mobile customer when you make referrals. You agree to let your Referees know that you are the Referrer and that you may receive a referral reward if your Referee signs up for Virgin Mobile service. You will not receive any referral reward if your referrals are rejected, voided or otherwise deemed ineligible to use the referral for any reason, or if you fail to comply with any of the terms of the Program.

  3. Reward Redemption. Referral rewards are non-transferable, non-assignable, and cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash, credit, or other merchandise.
  4. Reward Issuance Expiration. If further action is required for reward issuance, members successfully complete the additional action within 30 days from initial notification of the request for further action. Otherwise the member will forfeit the pending reward.
  5. Additional Terms and Conditions.

    Tax: You are responsible for any and all tax liabilities associated with the Program.

    Void Where Prohibited: This Program is void where prohibited by law.

    We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of the Virgin Mobile Refer a Friend Program at any time, without notice, at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to not award a credit or disqualify someone from the Program if we feel, in our sole discretion, that fraudulent behavior or other unethical conduct has occurred in any way that compromises the fairness the Program in any way. Credits cannot be combined with other promotions and are not valid for previous offers or orders. Spam, unsolicited commercial email, or any form of illegal means of communication is illegal, prohibited, and will be grounds for termination of your account and participation in this Program. Fraudulent or unethical means of communication such as using bots, fictitious identities, fake emails, or scripts is also prohibited and will result in similar actions by us with respect to terminating your account and participation in the Program.     By participating in this Program, you agree to release and hold harmless us and RewardStream Inc., as the operator of the Program for us and their affiliates and subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, consultants, and agents, and any other entity associated with marketing this Program (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims or damages arising out of, or in connection with the Program. You further agree that the Program and credits are provided "as is where is". THERE ARE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO STATUTORY WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, THIRD PARTIES RIGHTS, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT OF PROPRIETARY RIGHTS. IN NO EVENT WILL EITHER PARTY BE LIABLE TO THE OTHER FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS OR LOST SAVINGS, EVEN IF ONE PARTY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY THIRD PARTY.
